From July 11th – 16th, the Summer 2011 Great Virginia College Tour exposed students to the Commonwealth’s exceptional college options and prepared them for the SAT exam, while providing exciting excursions for high school students during their summer break. Students enjoyed informative campus tours, participated in SAT Prep sessions, and received financial aid and admissions information at Christopher Newport University, the College of William and Mary, Virginia Commonwealth University, the University of Richmond, the University of Virginia, James Madison University, and Liberty University.
On August 1st, we’ll start taking pre-registrations for the Summer 2012 Tour, which will also include Hampton University!
Once again, students will enjoy fine accommodations while housed in suite-style dorms and hotel suites with Indoor Heated Pools and Fitness Centers. Excursions will include trips to Busch Gardens and Monticello, Bowling in Richmond, Regal Cinemas Movie Night in Charlottesville, River Rafting, Rope Swings, and Caving in the Shenandoah Valley, and Snowboarding and Tubing at Liberty University’s SnowFlex Centre. Of course, all excursion fees are included in the cost of the Great Virginia College Tour!
Each registrant for the Great Virginia College Tour is automatically eligible for a $1,000 Optimizing Student Achievement Scholarship, awarded to the TeachersBox client with the highest SAT* score from the October – May test administrations, and a $600 Michael Spicely Book Award.
